Rehberi Taleem Perks!

Boom Boom Rehberi-Taleem j&k !!
Thus the long pending demands of Rehberi-Taleem teachers were granted. This faction of teachers fought their battle singularly under their own banner. They had clear agenda of demands and they achieved the target. Thanks to their untiring efforts they could taste the sweetness of their eyebrow sweat .This under-dog organization pioneered their way to success and it paid. Many a time the umbrella organization of J&K employees dubbed this infant organization as being too fragile to last. The umbrella organization(as the JCC flatters itself being it)crowed too much to get the retirement age enhanced ,and deems itself being more effective. What about the service benefits of five years of ReT’s, and the transfer policy benefits in their favour? Isn’t it the land mark achievement which this organization accomplished?
I don’t know how many will buy my story if I paint it with the moral –“Everything comes to the man who remains steadfast and exercise patience”. The history always provides some breathing place to some myths. It is said that in the aftermath of The World War Second near about fifty colonies got political emancipation. These colonies also include India. The steadfastness and patience of the Muslim Colonies of erstwhile USSSR was also ultimately crowned. Thanks to the Modi Sarkar Compaigning, The existence of the hung assembly of J&K was shaken to its spine levels. The government has perceived the giant of defeat looming his shadows over their beds and giving them nightmares. Perceiving the future that in case of loss they will find themselves in streets, the NC led regime has started stitching their cuts and wounds. In order to save their chair they are now ready to do anything and see the stake-holders in good humor. The ReT’s also knew the formula of their success; so they made hay as soon as they perceived the dawn. What a bliss it is to raise the tone of your voice on the ruins of the falling kingdom. From these ruins many villages picked the thread to be transformed into Tehsils and Block headquarters. This is the way our polity behaves.
Coming back to the perks given to the ReT teachers .These teachers have every reason to be in high spirits. They have right from their inception enjoyed the ride..At the time of their selection they had to face very little competition. The competition within the village is a cake walk journey. A little hard work can bring you to the merit. What an easy way to reserve a berth in the congested train of employees. In contrast to this, the selection process of SSRB is very tough and tardy. The aspirants know not where they exist in the merit list .The written test calls for tremendous hard work, and the interview process calls for your rare personality aptitudes. And out of average twenty thousand aspirants for district level selection only three or four hundred aspirants get the berth. These candidates may also include a microscopic minority of ReT’s. Now the point that warrants attention is that the ReT’s who prove their mettle in SSRB appointments leave their services as ReT midway, and join the elite group of teachers. These ReT’s need perks for they show their real worth. But the malady with present decree is that they are made to face the burns. Their ReT batch mates who don’t dare to be in competition are now made seniors to them who get inducted as general line teachers. Supposing out of 2500 ReT’s appointed in 2000 A.D. the top 75 made it to the SSRB list of 2003 A.D. Since they had worked for three years as ReT’s, but without service book records,These teachers got their date of first appointment as 12/5/2003(in case of District Baramulla), and the ReT’s who failed to compete in district competition continue to have their date of first appointment as 1/8/2000. As per the new decree the less competitive ReT’s will maintain the seniority over the competitive ones by keeping more than five thousand entries..
What an eye opener it is for the stake holders whose cries go unheard in the higher corridors. the scapegoat treatment meted out to the SSRB appointees needs active resistance, for their chocked voice has a reason to soar into the horizons of the higher corridors.
It is equally painful to see the leaders of teachers forum lobbying with every Paul and Harry. These leaders don’t care if their fellow teachers are denied their rights. They are, instead, busy taking advantage of every government decision.Who should now these general line teachers bank their expectations in. What option is now left with the SSRB appointees of 2003, 2007, 2009, and 2012.Should they think of carving their own forum to press for their rights?
The leaders who shares stages with ministers should revisit their strategies .They should assess their credibility through the prism of  these SSRB appointees lest they should mourn their double standard once the the arm of the watch has a twist. The way NC-Congress regime give away the alms on the the ruins of their falling kingdom, will do no good to the Hatim of the day. Same can be the fate of the blue-eyed trade union also. Democracy has its own ways. Yesterday kings are today ineligible for even choosing the leader of the opposition in Indian Union. Thus the stake holders need to ponder upon the pros and cons of the ridiculous decision making machinery. Lets hope there is a way out.
