Messages carry information in a
brief and condensed manner. Most of the items are incomplete sentence. Only
words that are essential to convey the meaning are used.
Important points.
· Avoid
writing complete sentences
· Use
short verb phrase where possible.
· Quit
articles and other determiners
Format of
the message
· Omit
address.
· Write
the time, day and date on the top.
· Use
brief salutation (Dear-Mr-).
· Emphasize important parts by using capitals and underlining.
· Complete
sentences are not necessary.
· Give
detail of information (if required).
· Do
mention from whom and when the message was received.
· Do
not include any additional information.
· End
with your name.
