Govt. High School Hardu Chanam witnessed a grand farewell ceremony being organized by the class 9^th students in the honor of their senior class today on 15/12/2022.The lawns had been decorated with colorful balloons hanging all over, and the paths freshly demarked with limestone linings. For the guests the benches were placed in symmetry and the chairs for the teachers were beautifully placed around them. It was at 11:30 am when the class 9^th students made two lines and allow their guests to step ahead through them to enter the lawns. The students were seen singing welcome song with beautiful tones. 

Since the stage was set for cultural show, the students presented beautiful programs and made the occasion a  remarkable one. They presented folk songs, farewell speeches, rap songs, gazals , ladishaw, and did mimicry of teachers as well. Towards the end of their two hour long performances, they dedicated Bollywood songs to the teachers and made lot of fun.

There was a grand award distribution ceremony in which top performers of the year across different curricular and co-curricular activities were honored with certificates of appreciation as well as trophies .This time the mega award Student of the year was also given. It was Neelofar Majeed  of Class 9^th who was presented first ever  Student Of The Year Award -2022 by the school. She was given standing ovation by all the students for this feat.

The teachers who spoke on the occasion include Mr Gayas Ud Din Zargar and Peerzada Gulam Jeelani(Headmaster).

Mr Satbeer Sing,Mr Tanzeel ul Rehman,and Mr Davinder Pal Singh acted as jury members to judge the performences.

 Mr Sarafraz Maqbool and Mr Imtiyaz Ahmad Lone were assigned the duty of  taking photographs of the occasion. Mr Tariq Ahmad Malik moderated the overall proceedings.

Soon after the cultural show the class 10^th students were taken to the main hall of the  school where they were served kanti with bread, and tea with a tray  full of sweets and eggs.

 All arrangements were up to date. The teachers were also served tea at this occasion.

Class 9th Girls at Service

The students were finally bid adieu in an emotional manner in which some of the girls got sentimental and wept bitterly for missing the school. It was but a memorable function for the school which will keep roving in the memory lanes for a pretty long time.
