Listening to the Conscience!

Tariq Ahmad Tariq
Listen to your conscience, and you will find peace!

In response to one of my Facebook posts ,An American friend created a beautiful thread worth sharing.

Post byTariq Ahmad Tariq:

"It does not matter whether we use facebook platform, or tweeter, or we become a part of some chat show; whatsoever platform we use our credibility, sensitivity towards things around us, and the moral values come to the fore. When we post something, we let that post represent us. So we should be very selective in our approach. "
"We should either write somethings which is expected do bring a positive, and morally desirable change in our society, or we should, simply, wait and search for good things,  and associate ourselves with them. When we share somebody's post, we endorse his ideology, and let that post represent our conscience. "
"Our religion is divine, and it does not allow us to descend to indecency. Lets pledge, for the sake of our imaan, not to scold those who could not do something good to us. We can pin-point the wrongs they did to us to their faces but are not allowed to embrace "kashmiri mad lips " culture with them. Doing that will bankrupt us of every grain of imaan. "
May Allah guide us!

Katherine J Erskine:

Katherine J Erskine:
REGARDLESS OF ONE'S RELIGION.. IT IS BEST TO ALWAYS TREAT OTHERS AS WE WOULD HOPE TO BE TREATED
..WITH DIGNITY AND RESPECT ALWAYS.
WE ARE ALL HUMAN AND WILL MAKE MISTAKES IN OUR LIVES
NO ONE IS PERFECT.
BUT AS MATURE ADULTS WE CAN APOLOGIZE AND ASK FOR FORGIVENESS.

Tariq:
Yes,we all want ourselves be given highest regards invariably despite knowing the fact that we have shortcoming of our own.We want to hide  our negative points from every seeing eye.We plead and justify our odds, but pass judgement for others. He have to come out of this hypocrisy. Doing this will help us towards making this world worth living.
Lets wake up to this reality!

Katherine J Erskine:
OH TRUST ME.. I AM  FULLY AWARE I HAVE MANY SHORTCOMING!!  WE ALL DO.. I AM CATHOLIC.. AND GOD IS FIRST IN MY LIFE
.. WE ALL FAIL IN LIFE.. BUT IF WE ARE REMORSEFUL.. GOD ALWAYS FORGIVES
.. JUST AS HE EXPECTS IS TO DO AS WELL

Tariq:
Being God-conscious and keeping fearing to the wrath of God in case we fail to deliver what is desired of us ,is what keeps us stay aright. If want to live a worthwhile life, we have to reshape our thinking.we need to believe that it is only loving and giving that makes out life worth living.
I am happy that in some corner of the huge world I have discovered some one (a friend)who has stood with me in my perspective.
Yes, I have found you as an inspiration for me.

Katherine J Erskine:
Sorry.. i had a reply and lost it..
I AM VERY HAPPY TO HAVE A YOU FOR A NEW  FRIEND..
I LIVE IN AMERICA.. USA .. THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING ME TO BE YOUR FRIEND..

Tariq:
It is a great honor for me,a citizen of a third world country,to have you patting my back for venturing into a vision worth exploring.I suppose your association will spare me from slipping in some mental slum.Americans are leading the world from the front. The country has a smooth go right from her year of independence 1776.This friend of yours from Indian Kashmir will welcome all of your divine ideas.Stay blessed.

Katherine J Erskine:
TRUST ME.. I envy Pakistan in that they have so much cultural family closeness that US lost decades ago.
I  believe being Muslims Kashmir is similar in culture..

Tariq:
Kashmir ,to tell you a little bit,is known for her rich legacy. We have rich culture. We stay united on auspicious occasions like those of marriages. We share miseries and keep together during hardships.we believe in co-operative living, working together,self-help,and helping the needy is our Hallmark. people are known for hospitality.
Kashmir is called the Switzerland of Asia. There is a huge rush of western tourists round the year.More than beauty of land, the tourists get inspired with the attitude of the people towards them.We are very orthodox, and it will take next 100 years for us to think that our old parents are virtually a burden and should be left in Old age homes. We feel our prosperity survives because we bless our home with the presence of aging parents.
Yes,we are well cultured, and it makes us hold our heads high.

Kathrine J Erskine:
EXACTLY..
A DECADE AGO I MET A DR FROM KALAM VALLEY .. HE SAID THE SAME.. LITTLE  SWITZERLAND
YES.. IT SOUNDS LIKE MY OTHER PAKISTANI FRIENDS.. AND THAT IS WHAT I LOVE .. ALL THE FAMILY AND COMMUNITY CLOSENESS
100% WHAT WE DO NOT HAVE

Tariq:
We will,if you wish, keep this thread going and will find out a thousand reasons for staying together.Stay blessed.
Last favor to know; What do you do?
From me,I am a government school teacher, teaching languages at school. Kashmiri is my mother tongue.Urdu is our second language, and English the medium of instruction in our schools.

Katherine J Erskine:
am on disability since 2007.
I was divorced and putting in 70-80 hr weeks working w jobs and in classes .. raising my 2 cbildren alone
I just woke up 11
11.2002 extremely  ill..   and was never able to return.

Tariq:
You are strong enough to defeat the world view. You are differently abled but your mind has been working at a much faster pace, and making for the loss you had met on account of your physical inability.
You are,but a living legend,for, you live a value-rich life.
Thumbs up for you!

Katherine J Erskine:
Thank you.You are very kind.

Now we can easily understand that in this global world we are not alone if if keep thinking positive.People are there to support us.Lets live out our vision, and keep going.
Thanks.
