Open Discussion on How Far Internet is Benificial?

Open Discussion on how far internet is benificial?

Mohd Shfi Shiekh : "Well begining is half done" Let me start.

Man is a living in a digital age. It is possible that he can  breathe without air  for hours or can remain empty stomach for couple of days but it seems that his soul would go restless without a mobile phone. More apt to tell is that he can not sleep well or feel jolly mood without internet.

I hope all the members would add to my begining of the discussion.

Ashiq Hussain Mir, Bonpora:  Internet is very much beneficial for all of us. It acts as mentor for it's users. We can ask anything it will give us result. We can also use internet to get information, knowledge and much more. Students can get study materials of different subjects from different sites. Infact, internet is big advantage in modern era.

Tariq Ahmad Malik: Internet is a virtual window to the outer world. It is the store house of science, technology, communication, and moving pictures. Its content is in scores of formates. There are word files, pdf files, xl files, mp3,mp4 and the others. There are audio as well as video files on the net.
Internet has entered in every human activity of the present day. It has its role in banks, schools, hospitals, medical labs, ticket counters etc.

Sajid Mir: One of the one reasons that the current world is popularly known as"global village" is the invention of "internet".
But every invention has advantages and disadvantages as well.
The utilisation of it depends on the interest of the user. If we can utilize and surf it in a proper way it can benefit us more than anything else but at the same time  it can also destroy and ruin our life as well.
Students can learn from best tutors through online learning, Skype and video calling. With the installation of optic fibre(internal reflection) 4g connectivity was introduced and it increased the internet speed tremendously.
Advantages and disadvantages will be discussed in detail.
Stay tuned...

Firdous (Ahmad Memorial) : I think a vast majority of social media users are youth....it further investigates the nagative impact of the youth by the social media on their reading habit.Reading is capabale of enriching ones intellectual capabilities and it devlopes insight into human problems  and has a major impact on their attitudes towards society. .......what do you think am i right or not
Social isolation due to heavy internet use.obasity nd depression may also results by spending more time on internet.....so it means it has equal disadvantages

Tariq Ahmad Malik: Yes, Firdous, you are right. There are twi sides of every thing. One is calked use, another misuse. If we use internetfor our betterment, it is a real boon.

Abid HussainKhan: Though a valuable source of knowledge, internet can never b an alternative to knowledge that books encompass.

Tariq AhmadMalik : Internet has saved our time and efforts to the unbelievable extents. Traditional letters would take months to reach their addresses; the e-mail does reach within a second.
We would spend hours in the line at banking counters initially, now internet banking, ATM transactions, money transfers take just one minute.

Sajid Ah Mir:  Internet can also be threat to our security. So we should not disclose our identity on webpages and social media sites.
The recent example is the Facebook leaking the data during US elections.

Tariq Ahmad Malik: In order to inculcate the habit of writing their expressions in the young members, we start from descriptive writings where in ideas are readymade, and only words are needed to clad them. Once our youngesters are well on track, we will move to reflexive writing.
Wahid Ahmad Mir:  We share our feelings through a medium which have no feelings and we want to brainstorm creativity by a tool, that is becoming a grave yard for human neurons. What I find Internet have highjacked everyone...During my teacher educator degree,we have seminar under title" Modern Pedagogy ", and most of the intellectuals discussed about impact and role of Internet on education.some say  it is an assistant for teacher's and some go on saying a teacher without boundary etc. Dear gentlemen_ the worst part of this technology is that it is in the hands of those  human beings which have only it's information not knowledge.
Dear gentlemen. My question to all of u is. Why we find Internet more informative than human beings which are around you ?
Why an illiterate person becomes useless in present age of technology. He or She may be illiterate but not uneducated.
Most of the gentlemen in this group are pre- service and in- service teachers, so are also my teacher's.If the job of the teacher is to create and deliver the content and if this content is present on internet that too with huge reviews and quality then what is the need of teachers?.
So these last lines  are for my one of the best teacher Mr Tariq Ahmad Malik Sir. Is internet degrading the teaching profession and are modern teachers heavily dependent on it. Need your reflection on above lines. Your student.

Tariq Ahmad Malik: Wahid, Your perception carry good weightage.
The teachers, to my understanding, are not degraded by the intensive usage of internet.
Internet viewed from the canvas of ebooks does only change the mode of our learning for which we initially  would visit libraries. Initially when a teacher needed to have indepth knowledge of things, he would visit library to update himself. Now the paper book has been changed into the digital book. We can easily enrich our content from it. Even we can develop innovative pedagogies while reviewing the techniques used by different trachers all

Ishfaq Qayum : To know the world we need to access internet.Internet is a powerful tool of modern world.A man changes his lives by exploring internet. He adopts best lifestyle, colour his surroundings and even manage his needs .In modern days it may be a slogan.
"internet in our days is only the ways
Which manage our craze and makes our saves"
My little contribution

Hassan Azhar: It was 2004... 05 when i was writing my M phil thesis on a poet but the books which i need, were not available here. I tried to visit to internet to confirm whether there was any material or not. I found the related material but that was insufficient and those were some little articles and compositions and of course not analysed in broader aspect. I would leave that one and try for other author. But all in vain my day would pass in searching ordinary and sub standard material.
I would like to mention here that it was one of my friends Mr Gayas ud din who was about to travel to Aligarah, i requested him, search if there was any book regarding the poet, then he returned with three books and only then i became able to complete my thesis otherwise net had taken me into such a bush where from it was difficult to come out.
I simply suggest my Educated Youth not to wonder here and there in search of good rather complete material, it is only book which can be proved better than internet material. In case where there you need information or small size compositions, you can find easily.
Internet is simply an indication towards big treasure like books. There fore i deem it wise to mention here that only good and standard books can realize your big and beautiful dreams.

Tariq Ahmad: Azhar Sir, everybody has his own experience with internet. There is none to support or reject its role. The basic aim of the topic remains to develop ideas, both in its favour, or against it. In both the cases, the students will get busy in writing their original thoughts.

Mud Bye: If we are discussing here itz because of internet. When our phone is down or internet remains suspended for few days life seems to be stopped a bit and facial expressions at that time are worth to watch. Our life seems impossible at this junction of time without internet. No doubt there are disadvantages also but we can't deny its advantages which are probably making more weight than its disadvantages

Rahamtullah Mir: : ہے موت دلوں کے لیے مشینوں کی حکومت
احساسِ مروت کو کچل دیتے ہیں آلات

Sajid Ahmad Mir: Internet is a thing developed by imperfect humans, so it is obvious internet cannot be perfect in every single area.
There are some fields where internet can misguide us but at the same time there are many fields where surfing internet can be very much beneficial like
sending documents all over the world, online money transfer, looking up a word in dictionary and there are other numerous and important fields where it can help us in a go.
It basically depends upon your interest and mind setup how you wanna utilize it.
Internet actually has both the tastes bitter (poison) as well as sweet(🍯 honey),  so it all depends upon your taste.

Abdul Ahad Bhat,a vetern Headmaster from Kupwara breathed his last on duty.

Uf! The dear ones go early!

Alas! a virtous heart has stopped beating,a blessed soul ascended to heaven; and ,in him ,we parted with our beloved Officer,Abdul Ahad Bhat on 12/4/2019,Friday.

It was a thunderbolt of grief to hearing the sad news of the sudden demise of our beloved headmaster. My words can't suffice to express my sorrow. The deceased was my guiding hand,my torch bearer, and my superhero. He was the person who steered my life's journey to the right direction.I am the product of the incredible memories he shared. He brought light to my dark days, and allowed me to grow under the shine of his smiles.

This is the price we pay for having a great father.we get the wonder, the joy,the tender moments…,and we get the tears at the end too.May my spritual father rest in eternal peace;and may Allah help me to carry on in the footsteps of the departed soul.May Allah make sure that the legacy of this great soul live for ever.
My deepest sympathies go out to the bereaved family on this difficult time.May Allah give the family the courage and strength to bear this loss.

On My 47th Birth day

On My 47th Birthday

Dear Children,
Your beloved mother, this morning, tuned in the radio to listen to a famous Kashmiri folk song “Wochum Naie cze hue kahah wfaadaar mougi”.I saw her repeating the lines with the singer. It came to me that she was very true to her sentiments.
She has always the same narrative to tell that her mother is only next to God for her. None on the earth can change her perception .She always keeps saying that she can give her mother her blood to the last drop, and can give her the money to the last penny in the hour of her need. None on the earth can stop her ,she adds.

I always appreciate her attitude towards her mother. Her mother does really deserve it. In fact, every mother deserves it.
Children, your mother often dubs me being mal-adjusted, and socially ineffective. Yes, I don’t usually visit my relatives. I seldom phone them, and ask them about their needs. Yes, she openly reminds me of my indifferent nature.

Thank God! I too have parents. I  believe I have loving parents. They are now in their old age, but I don’t live with them. I pay casual visits to them. They often dial my number to ask about my health, and the health of my children. For me ,it speaks volumes about  their love and care.

In this phase of their life, my parents need my care. My ailing mother needs routine check-ups. She has multiple health issues. She does, however, feel much relieved when her children spend some time with her. She does always crave for such opportunities .This is true about every mother, I suppose.

My father deserves a special mention. He has lived a very tough life. He has always toiled to earn square meals for his family. The only silver lining he had seen during his hard days was in his act of admitting me in a primary school. It was a big decision for him. It was the time when education was a mere luxury in villages .He had no money for my private tutioning, so he would always encourage me saying intelligent boys did not bank upon tutioning.I kept going the school regularly .At returning my home, I would keep busy with books. The smell of books would bring peace to my mind.

It was often discussed in our family that my father had also been admitted in the school, and he had read up to 8th .His studies had been discontinued only when he had failed to pay the fine of 2 annas owing to his four days absence from school. It was because my grandfather could not arrange the required money.

My childhood passed under the shades of a tough father. He was strict to the core .He would never compromise with discipline. I would never dare to join dinner if I had failed to offer magrib salat. He would advise me to be truthful, honest, and humble.

Our family was economically very weak. My father, despite his all efforts, could not change this plight. I had to join him in work in a very tender age of ten. We toiled together to bring the family to the safer side.

Smile would seldom return to the face of my parents .I remember the day when I completed reading the Quran under the guidance of Maulana Mohi-ud-din. My father had a dream to see me completing my education, and doing some white collar job. He did not know how to plan all this, but his faith in my capabilities was immense.

My father’s dream was realized when after a prolonged wait I got a job.I am now financially well, and living happily with my family. I always bring to my mind the sacrifices made by my parents for me. How can I forget the hard times my father and mother had gone through during my upbringing.

It is only the wearer who knows where his shoe pinches. Nobody’s parents have any flaws. All parents are real architects, so are mine. If somebody tries to finds faults in my parents, I feel hurt. He had my responsibility to shoulder, not the responsibility of others. I salute the wisdom of my parents. They have a special place in my heart. They, as I believe,  can never be wrong .How can a father, and a mother be wrong who shed their tears after keeping away from their son, and gift away their son to the latter’s children.

Today on my 47th birthday if you believe I have wide acceptance in the society, who should take the credit .I suppose the parents whose prayers and whose upbringing make this possible. I hope you will carry forward this legacy.

                                         With Best Regards
                                                         Your papa
